POLITICAL DYNAMICS AND CONSEQUENCES OF CLIMATE POLICY

To achieve climate mitigation goals under the Paris Agreement and EU legislation, more ambitious climate policies are being discussed and implemented, bringing climate change to the center of the political arena. Therefore, investigating the interplay between climate change mitigation efforts and political dynamics becomes crucial. The workshop will shed light on the political impacts of climate policies and on how political dynamics shape the design and implementation of climate policies, providing insights on the role of public opinion, social movement, parties, and electoral dynamics in shaping climate policy decisions.
